袋鼠導覽機器人(Kangaroo Robots)由台灣大學智慧機器人中心團隊研發技術與連動機構,外觀設計則採用動物的形態且具備多元功能,有鑑於整體骨架與線路間有多餘的空間,整合機器人置物空間設計至腰部,正好是人坐姿時的高度,容易拿取物件。表情部分可透觸控螢幕與人互動,身體也能高低調整,結合網路攝影機裝置,可捕捉人的表情,針對地面行徑的雷射式區域範圍掃描(UTM-30LX)可即時閃開障礙物,同時周圍裝設12顆測距儀(Ping sensor)更加提升敏銳度。未來將應用於輔助育樂教學、居家服務以及展場導覽活動。

Kangaroo Robot is researched and developed by NTU iCeiRA team and linked organization, its appearance design is an animal look and it has multiple functions. Because still have remaining space between skeleton and wires, and conform to the design, we create a storage space on waist, and it is a proper height for sitting people, to take tings easily. For facial expression part, it can interact with people through the touchscreen, and also can adjust its height. Besides, combining a webcam, it can identify people's facial expression, and build a scanning laser range finder (UTM-30LX) to detect obstacles on the path of walking, and avoid collision. Also, set twelve distance measurement devices (Ping Sensor) to enhance sensitivity. In the future, it will be applied to assist in entertainment, education, home service and exhibition guide.
